Falling In Love With the Body

As you may know about six weeks ago I fractured my right humerus (upper arm bone) and it brought about many different insights about caring for an injured body part

The Gift of the Injured State

But let's reframe this  Isn't an unhealthy state of the body an injured state?  High cholesterol, being overweight, high PSA, acid indigestion(hyperacidity syndrome or GERD-gastroesophageeal reflux disease), a heart attack  All of these are cries from inner space for help

The problem is that we deny that the body needs love and nourishment  After all, it's a machine, right?  A well oiled machine that has somehow learned how to think  So treat the machine just like you treat a lump of castiro?

I believe we respect the body more than that, we just have to reframe ourselves  How we view ourselves

The Body from an Energy Field View

First left helped right  "It's OK honey, I'll help you out," says left to right  As a matter of fact, in the energy science body of knowledge, the left is feminine and the right, masculine  So each side is helping each other and participating in healing as the wounded side is nouristhed through the recovery from trauma

If this is difficult to conceive, think about your body as if it were a child  And you loved that child very much  So much you would do anything for your little child

When speaking to your child, you wouldn't think of saying, "Get a grip, kid  Buck up and get in shape!"  Or maybe we would unconsciously and wouldn't know it

Perhaps a better, kinder way to speak to our body is to express gratitude  "Thanks my dear body for all you do for me  I promise to take care of you and help you become (fill in the blank, eg in shape, less fat, healthier by reducing your cholesterol, etc) because I care so much for you and want the best for you"

A Natural Love Affair

Isn't that what a love affair is?

And the first most important aspect of this expression of love is to nourish the relationship, right?

Nourishment, either physically or emotionally, is the important part in any relationship and it should begin with the type of nutrition we use

Of course, my bias is that an energy science approach to nutrition using the foodsheal.com format is paramount to getting started and moving forward through this lifetime

This love affair aspect of healing may seem too far fetched for you especially if you haven't had an injured body part but try reorienting the way you speak to your body and have regular loving conversations with your body

As the say, "Get into the love!"

Until tomorrow                                                  To health as a Skill   Love DrBill
