Reframing Nutrition

The other day my wife and I were talking about getting better interest on her hard earned money from the local bank. She uses a checking account and prefers to not use a traditional savings account. Her option would be to put money into a CD with 3 month turn around on the investment for at least improving the interest return.

I told her that if she put money into a brokerage account and invested the money she could have a checking account with the ability to get returns as high as 40% per year.

But despite the possibility of higher returns it would be too risky for her. She then deferred to the "safe" CD idea. Nothing wrong with playing it safe.

As I reflected on our conversation I realized that this is what we do with a new way of doing nutrition or diet.

The energy science view of seeing the mindbody as an energy field  is "risky" and new. And even though the return for trying a new way may be high, it's safer to stay with the tried and true matter science approach. Abandoning the traditional is uncharted waters. So why risk it?

So it's our choice. Being in the mind field of uncertainty or staying with the status quo. In this case a matter science nutritional approach which isn't working very well or trying an energy science nutritional approach which will pay big returns for health.
