This idea of breakfast. Is it important as a lifestyle behavior for the average diet?
Interesting term, breakfast. Literally it means to "break the fast", implying that there has actually been some fasting going on over night. It also implies that the term does not necessarily conjure up the notion that it is something done in the hours of the morning.
From an energy science nutritional view breakfast, particularly for Kapha mindbody constitution, should be a piece of fruit. You know, something very simple but avoiding dairy, keeping in touch with the nutritional format for PK (see foodsheal.com). Dairy is in general a poor food choice for Kapha. So the best time of day for the biggest meal of the day when our digestive fire is ready for the experience of food is 10am to 2pm.
