Foraging For Food
As humans on the planet we hunted for our food or went out and foraged on the savannah for plant life.
Now we go to the grocery store to forage, kind of like localized foraging. And we don't have to hunt anymore(unless so inclined) for our meat products.
But it brings up a question. When we foraged in the past we paid attention instinctively to what was good for us as animals looking for grub for the tummy.
Now it's all there at the grocery store! No more hunting or foraging. YEAH! We have followed an unwritten law that says, "Go ahead and eat anything."
Not so fast though. From an energy nutritional view not everything that grows or walks or swims on the planet is fair game.
The nutritional format "Eating Right for Your Blood Type" comes closest to the concept that foods should be selected by how they make us feel and not because they grow on the planet.
We need to get back to the place where we are more discerning in terms of food choices realizing that foods produce imbalances that can be hard to correct if they go too far. If we continue to unconsciously make food and drink choices in our diet we will unconsciously create dis-ease.
