On Choosing Vegetarianism
I’m so glad you read this blog. You might be picking it up via Facebook, clicking in from Twitter, or landing here after someone told you to swing by. In all cases, thank you. I’m glad that you’re here.
For those of you who’ve been subscribers for a while, thank you very much. I write for you.
Today I'd like to discuss vegetarianism. It seems that at times we make decisions to do something in our lives for the wrong reasons.
People who are traditional vegetarians, culturally or otherwise, are not so because it improves their health but because it prevents the injury to other life forms.
I believe most believe that if someone is vegetarian they must be healthy just by the fact that they have made the decision to be vegan or one of its variations.
The truth be known, being vegan has little to do with health and all to do with nurturing the planet and respecting life.
But the interesting tradeoff here is that the person who makes the choice to be vegan is healthier! Primarily due to the choice of reducing inflammatory fatty acids.
The important aspect about being vegan is that one should make a study about eating a balanced nutritional format energetically. Otherwise there can be a tendency to become undernourished particularly Pitta Vata.
