Morning Routine
The purpose of a morning routine is to wake up the mindbody and help maintain balance When the physiology is woken harshly on a regular basis it institutes a chronic sympathetic autonomic response or fight or flight response Done chronically this leads to, believe it or not, poor digestion due to alteration of gut motility
Here are some guidelines for us to consider Try adding one a week as you build on the regimen You'll be astounded by changes in your physiology over a 6 month period
Wake up early 5-6am In order to do this should try to be in bed by 10pm This is the most balanced time of the day for waking Ask early risers how they feel by waking up early like this
Look at your hands finger tips, palm and wrists, rubbing face, head, and shoulders
Express gratitude to Mother Earth
Splash cool water on the face with eyes open to waken the face and physiology
Drink glass of room temperature water to initiate gut peristalsis and all being supportive will stimulate a bowel movement in fifteen minutes
Brushing teeth mindfully paying attention with short brush strokes
Sesame oil(unrefined) with swish and gargle This has amazing results in improving gingival health and associated gum rescession
Scrape the tongue with copper or stainless steel scraper
Chew a handful of sesame seeds to wake up mastication and stimulate digestion
Move the tongue in a clock and counter clockwise rotation around oral cavity
Massage with balancing oils(particularly Pitta Vata makeups can benefit)
Shower trying not to suds off the oil
Meditation
Dress for the day
Breakfast
The biggest meal should be at noon and a lighter dinner before 7pm
This regimen if adhered to for a prolonged period of time can take one a long way in terms of restoring health and is foundational to a healthy lifestyle And it's all grounded on a energy science approach Unfortunately there are no recommendations regarding this from a matter science medical view It is sorely needed
Until tomorrow To health as a Skill Love Dr Bll
