Multivitamins
Fooducate is a blog that I follow and they had this to say about multivits http://bit.ly/awfWzb
From this post we can say with reasonable skepticism that multivits are suspect about giving us the nutritional rewards for which we are hoping
There is a saying among medical providers that you may have heard about Americans having the most expensive urine and poop on the planet
But why? Is it the supplements problem? Is it our gut absorption problem? Or is it a combination that lead to their ineffectiveness?
I would contend that it's multifactorial Our guts are not healthy to absorb what's presented to it
And the products are in a crystalline matrix that are not readily recognized by the normal GI tract The mindbody needs a picture frame around the molecule, say mannose, to be absorbed Taking powdered mannose would be be as good as taking regular aloe vera, for example
So what should we do?
Eat whole fresh food cooked
Choose foods according to your mindbody makeup
Avoid food incompatabilities
Improve digestive fire by using churan
Take triphala
How much money do you spend on multivits? Are they crystalline or natural formed? Is there value in improving your gut function?
